GOOD QUESTIONS.
DARK ANSWERS.

Everything to know before your night at the farm.

Where is Nightmare Farms Texas located?

Nightmare Farms Texas is located at 1059 Haun Rd in Sherman, Texas 75090, just north of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

We’re a haunted farm experience tucked away on rural North Texas property, so expect the roads to get darker and quieter as you approach. Please drive carefully, watch for Nightmare Farms signs and follow directions from our parking team when you arrive.

How much are tickets to Nightmare Farms Texas?

Ticket pricing for Nightmare Farms Texas may vary depending on the date and ticket type selected. Current admission options and pricing are available through our official online ticketing page starting at $39.95 + $2.42 fee for General Admission.

General Admission provides one trip through the nine connected chapters of a single Nightmare Farms walkthrough in Sherman, Texas. The ticket page also lists Fast Pass and a “Twice around the Park + Fast Pass” upgrade. Check your selected admission type for what is included.

Because capacity is limited and popular October dates are expected to sell out, we strongly recommend purchasing tickets online before making the drive to the farm.

How much is parking at Nightmare Farms?

Parking at Nightmare Farms Texas is $5 per vehicle. This can be paid via card or tap to pay. Cash accepted, but not preferred.

Our attraction is located on a working rural property, so please follow signs and directions from parking attendants when entering and exiting the farm.

How long does Nightmare Farms take?

The continuous walkthrough takes about 15–20 minutes from entry to exit.

The separate queue varies with the night and crowd size and may take roughly 10–60 minutes or more. Allow additional time for $5 parking and check-in.

And you don’t have to leave when the nightmares are over. Guests are welcome to stick around afterward to enjoy Nightmare Farms merchandise, food, beverages and the atmosphere around the farm.

Is Nightmare Farms indoors or outdoors?

Both.

The route combines six themed enclosed or container environments with an outdoor bridge, zombie bus and graveyard. It is one continuous experience, with indoor and outdoor sections.

Because you’re visiting an actual farm, expect dirt, gravel, darkness, uneven terrain and changing outdoor conditions. We strongly recommend comfortable clothing and closed-toe, sturdy shoes.

What happens if it rains at Nightmare Farms?

Nightmare Farms is an outdoor and indoor haunted attraction, and normal North Texas weather does not necessarily mean the nightmares stop.

Our team monitors weather conditions throughout each operating night. Light rain or ordinary weather conditions may not affect operations. However, guest and staff safety comes first.

If severe weather, lightning, dangerous winds or other unsafe conditions develop, Nightmare Farms may temporarily delay admission, pause the walkthrough, suspend operations, shelter or evacuate guests, or adjust the evening’s schedule until conditions are determined to be safe.

Guests should watch the Nightmare Farms website, social media and any event communications for weather-related updates before traveling to Sherman.

Tickets are sold subject to the Nightmare Farms Ticket Terms and Conditions. Ticket sales are generally final, and weather-related changes do not automatically create a right to a refund. If Nightmare Farms must make a significant operational change or cancel an event, affected ticket holders will receive instructions regarding the options available for that event.

Do the actors at Nightmare Farms touch you?

No. Nightmare Farms is a no-touch haunted attraction.

Our actors are there to scare you—not hurt you.

We ask guests to show them the same respect. Do not touch, hit, grab, push or intentionally interfere with our actors, staff, props or other guests.

Guests who intentionally touch or endanger actors, staff or other visitors may be removed from the property without a refund. Look. Scream. Don’t touch.

Is there an age limit for Nightmare Farms Texas?

Nightmare Farms does not have a specific minimum age requirement, but parents and guardians know their children best.

Every chapter can be frightening. Parents and guardians should judge the experience by their child’s comfort with sudden scares, darkness and loud effects.

Expect live actors, animatronics, jump scares and startling effects.

The walkthrough may include darkness, loud sounds, fog, flashing or strobe lighting, tight spaces, frightening characters and disturbing imagery. Parents and guardians should use their own discretion when deciding whether the experience is appropriate for their child.

Younger guests should remain with a responsible adult. No-Boo neck lights may be available as directed by staff; ask the team when you arrive.

Are bags allowed inside Nightmare Farms?

Yes. Guests may bring personal bags into Nightmare Farms.

We recommend keeping belongings small and secure during the walkthrough. Nightmare Farms includes dark areas, uneven outdoor terrain and sudden scares, so guests are responsible for their personal belongings.

Please do not bring prohibited items, weapons or anything that could interfere with the safety of actors or other guests.

Can I bring food and drinks to Nightmare Farms?

Yes, guests may bring food and non-alcoholic beverages where permitted.

Part of the fun is enjoying the whole night after the walkthrough.

Food, drinks, treats and Nightmare Farms merchandise are planned for the public guest area after the walkthrough. Come hungry and stay awhile if you like.

Availability may vary by operating night.

Is Nightmare Farms wheelchair accessible?

Nightmare Farms is located on a real farm, and accessibility varies throughout the property.

An ADA-accessible restroom will be available, and guests using wheelchairs or mobility devices are absolutely welcome to visit and enjoy Nightmare Farms.

However, because the route crosses natural farm terrain, dirt, gravel and certain indoor or constructed areas, not every section or pathway may be wheelchair accessible.

Guests who cannot safely access portions of the haunt are welcome to enjoy the surrounding Nightmare Farms experience, food and beverage areas, merchandise, characters, atmosphere—and, of course, the screams coming from everyone who decided to go inside.

If you have specific accessibility needs, we encourage you to contact Nightmare Farms before your visit so our team can help you understand the conditions and available accommodations.

Does Nightmare Farms offer refunds?

Nightmare Farms ticket sales are final and generally non-refundable.

When purchasing tickets, guests agree to the Nightmare Farms Ticket Terms and Conditions. Optional ticket Purchase Protection may also be available through the ticket-purchase process depending on the coverage offered at checkout.

Please carefully select your date before completing your order.

Being removed from the property for violating Nightmare Farms rules—including unsafe behavior, intoxication, touching actors, smoking or vaping—does not qualify a guest for a refund.

If Nightmare Farms itself makes a significant operational change or cancels an event, affected ticket holders will be contacted with information about any options being offered for that particular event.

Can I buy tickets at the gate?

Guests should not plan on purchasing tickets at the gate.

Nightmare Farms uses advance online ticketing so we can manage attendance and keep the guest experience moving safely through the property.

Tickets are limited by operating night, and certain dates may sell out before the event begins. If you’re driving to Sherman from Dallas, McKinney, Frisco, Plano, Allen, Prosper, Celina, Denton or elsewhere in greater DFW, purchase tickets before making the trip.

No ticket? You may have made the trip for nothing.

Does Nightmare Farms sell out?

It can—and we expect some nights will.

2026 is Nightmare Farms’ first season in Sherman, but interest in the attraction has already been strong, and capacity is limited each operating night.

We expect crowds to increase substantially during the second half of October, with the dates immediately surrounding Halloween expected to be our busiest nights and the most likely to sell out.

If you have a particular night in mind, purchase your tickets early rather than waiting until the day of your visit.

What time should I arrive at Nightmare Farms?

Nightmare Farms is open October 16–November 1, 2026, on scheduled operating nights: Thursday and Sunday 7–10 PM, Friday and Saturday 7–11 PM. All times are local to Sherman, Texas.

We recommend arriving early enough to park, gather your group, have your tickets ready and complete any required check-in before entering the attraction.

If your ticket includes a specific date or arrival window, please follow the instructions included with your ticket.

Remember that Nightmare Farms is located on rural roads outside Sherman. Give yourself additional travel time, especially after dark.

Can I wear a costume to Nightmare Farms?

Absolutely.

Halloween costumes are welcome at Nightmare Farms Texas.

We do ask that costumes, masks and accessories do not create a safety hazard or interfere with other guests, staff or performers. Costumes should allow you to safely see and move through dark areas, stairs, uneven surfaces and outdoor farm terrain.

Weapons—real or fake items that could reasonably be mistaken for a weapon—should be left at home.

And one warning: if you wear a mask, make sure the Caretaker can still tell which one of you doesn’t belong there.

Are masks allowed at Nightmare Farms?

Yes. Costume masks are welcome as part of your Halloween attire.

Masks must not prevent you from safely seeing and navigating the attraction, and Nightmare Farms staff may ask a guest to temporarily remove a mask when necessary for identification, safety or security purposes.

Can pregnant guests visit Nightmare Farms?

Yes. Nightmare Farms does not prohibit pregnant guests from attending.

However, haunted attractions are intentionally designed to startle you. Nightmare Farms can include darkness, sudden scares, loud noises, flashing lights, fog, tight spaces, uneven outdoor terrain and unexpected movement around you.

Pregnant guests should consider their own comfort, physical condition and individual circumstances before participating. If you choose to enter the walkthrough, take extra care while walking, avoid rushing or sudden movements and let your group and our staff know if you need assistance.

When in doubt about whether a haunted attraction is appropriate during pregnancy, consult your healthcare provider.

Are weapons allowed at Nightmare Farms?

No. Weapons are not permitted at Nightmare Farms Texas.

Firearms, knives, weapons and other dangerous items are prohibited from the attraction and event areas.

Guests arriving with prohibited weapons may be denied entry or asked to leave the property.

For everyone’s safety, costume accessories should also not include realistic weapons or items that could reasonably be mistaken for one.

Can I leave Nightmare Farms and come back?

General Admission includes one trip through the continuous walkthrough. The “Twice around the Park + Fast Pass” upgrade includes two trips in a single night. Follow your ticket’s admission type and staff directions for any additional trip.

Do not leave and re-enter the walkthrough on your own. After the haunt, you’re welcome to stay in permitted public event areas for food, beverages, merchandise and the atmosphere.

An additional trip through the walkthrough is different from leaving the property and returning. Ask staff before exiting the property if you intend to come back.

Is smoking or vaping allowed at Nightmare Farms?

No.

Nightmare Farms is a 100% smoke-free and vape-free property, including outdoor guest areas and parking areas.

For the safety of our guests, staff, actors and property, smoking, vaping and open flames are prohibited anywhere on the Nightmare Farms property.

Can I drink alcohol before visiting Nightmare Farms?

Guests must arrive sober and able to safely participate in the attraction.

Nightmare Farms may refuse entry to or remove any guest who appears intoxicated, impaired, aggressive or unable to safely follow staff instructions.

Guests denied entry or removed because of intoxication or unsafe behavior will not receive a refund.

What should I wear to Nightmare Farms?

Dress for a farm—because that’s exactly where you’re going.

Nightmare Farms includes indoor and outdoor areas, dirt, gravel, darkness and uneven terrain. Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather and sturdy, closed-toe shoes that you can comfortably walk in.

High heels, open-toed shoes and anything you wouldn’t want getting dusty, dirty or muddy probably aren’t your best choice.

Does Nightmare Farms use flashing lights, fog or loud noises?

Yes.

Nightmare Farms is an immersive haunted attraction designed to scare you. Guests should expect darkness, loud noises, fog, flashing and strobe lighting, tight spaces, uneven terrain, sudden scares and frightening imagery throughout the experience.

Guests who have medical conditions or sensitivities that may be affected by these effects should use their own judgment before entering.

Can the Nightmare Farms actors hurt me?

Nightmare Farms actors are trained to scare and entertain without intentionally harming guests.

For everyone’s safety, guests must also avoid touching, hitting, grabbing, threatening or interfering with actors, staff, props or other visitors.

Remember the rule:

Look. Scream. Don’t touch.

Can I take photos or videos at Nightmare Farms?

Photos and videos are welcome in designated public areas of Nightmare Farms, and there will be plenty around the farm worth capturing.

Photography, flash photography or recording may be restricted inside the walkthrough when it could interfere with performers, other guests or safety. Always follow staff instructions.

Nightmare Farms may also photograph or record portions of the event, and guests may appear incidentally in event photography or video.

What happens if I get too scared and want to leave?

It happens. That’s kind of the point.

If you become overwhelmed or need assistance while inside the walkthrough, stay calm and notify the nearest actor or staff member. Our team can help direct you safely out when appropriate.

Leaving the walkthrough because you are frightened does not provide admission for another trip or qualify the ticket for a refund.

Do I need to sign a waiver before entering Nightmare Farms?

Yes. Each participant must complete any required Nightmare Farms waiver before entering the attraction.

Complete your waiver ahead of time whenever possible and have your ticket available on your phone when you arrive. This helps our team get your group checked in and into the nightmare faster.

What makes Nightmare Farms different from a traditional haunted house?

Nightmare Farms is a new haunted house and Halloween attraction in Sherman, Texas, built as nine connected chapters in one continuous 15–20 minute walkthrough.

You move through six themed enclosed environments, an outdoor bridge, zombie bus and graveyard. The queue is separate and can vary from roughly 10–60 minutes or more.

Live actors, animatronics, jump scares, darkness, fog and loud sounds make it creepy, loud and weird. It is a no-touch experience, not an extreme-contact haunt.

Nine nightmares. One farm. One way through.

After the haunt, stay for food, drinks, merchandise, characters and the atmosphere. Offerings may vary by night.
